Not paying your bills?  The Village of Carbon Cliff has entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Illinois Office of the Comptroller to participate in the Comptroller’s Local Debt Recovery Program.  Any outstanding debt owed to the Village of Carbon Cliff for nonpayment of Village Utility Bills (Water, Sewer and Garbage), Code Enforcement Violations or other Municipal Fines will be submitted to the Local Debt Recovery Program through the State of Illinois Comptroller’s Office.  This means prior to the Comptroller issuing a state tax refund, commercial payment, state payroll check, or lottery check, the amount owed to the local government (Village of Carbon Cliff) plus an administrative fee is deducted and deposited in the Comptroller’s Local Debt Recovery Trust Fund.  The Illinois Office of the Comptroller will then distribute funds to the local unit of government (Village of Carbon Cliff) to cover the outstanding debt.

JUDICIAL FORECLOSURE PROCEDURE ACT:

IN ACCORDANCE WITH PUBLIC ACT 096-0856, EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 31, 2009, AMENDING THE JUDICIAL FORECLOSURE PROCEDURE ACT, ALL ORDERS OF FORECLOSURES WITHIN THE JURISDICTION / CITY LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF CARBON CLIFF SHALL BE SENT TO:
